Climate accounting for SMEs and startups - Cozero Light launches
Berlin-based startup Cozero today presents its new software solution Cozero "light" for balancing and reducing carbon emissions. The focus is particularly on small and medium-sized enterprises.
Helen Tacke, founder and CEO of Cozero:
"So far the legislator has placed the onus on large corporations, and yet, the issue of sustainability increasingly plays a central role in smaller companies as well. There is hardly a conversation with applicants, customers or investors that does not include the climate aspect. Entrepreneurs and businesses of any size who fail to present a sustainability strategy will lose out in the future."
Features and application areas of Cozero "light"
Cozero "light" focuses on the essential functions of recording and balancing CO₂ emissions. With little effort, customers can set up an analysis for strategic reduction.“For small businesses in particular, the issue of sustainability comes into focus when they engage in business relationships with a large company, as more and more companies want to include their suppliers in their own climate strategy to reduce emissions in the supply chain (Scope 3)“, says Helen Tacke.
Note: The use of the Cozero software is subsidized up to 60% by the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action. The funding can be applied for at the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA) as part of the "Federal Funding for Energy and Resource Efficiency in the Economy".
